Vaanga Tamilil Pesalam – 2018
An oratorical competition held for Upper Primary and Lower Secondary students over the course of a month with around 120 participants! Nearly 200 people watched the grand finale Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre on 14th April 2018. The event was graced by Ex-Nominated MP, Mr. R. Dhinakaran, our Guest-of-Honour for the event
Nizhal – Dance Drama
It was a wonderful dance drama that was co-partnered with TATTVA and more than 220 people had enjoyed the performance that day, with Mr. Vikram Nair gracing the occasion as the Guest-of-Honour
Sigaram – Launching of Digital Dictionary
Partnered with Wordsmith, a little competition was held on that day and talks regarding the importance of the existence of a Tamil digital dictionary. The Guest of Honour for this event was Mr. Vikram Nair once again
2020 – Oru Kutti Kadhai Sollata? – Micro-Short Film Competition
As the flagship event for STS this year for Tamil Language Festival 2020, Sanjay shares his immense pleasure in the success of the event with over 4000 accumulated views for the show, in both Facebook and YouTube Live.
He then shares his experience as the Youth Wing President conducting this event, handling over 150+ participants ranging from 16 to 60 years old and that they recieved 35 short film submissions.
Maathi Yosi! – A Digital Bommalattam Workshop and Competition
A new innovation by the Youth Wing talents, our members helped the public appreciate the art form of Bommalattam with a new style, by digitizing it! Hosting a virtual event as part of the Tamil Language Festival 2021, we made the show accessible for everyone in the tough times of COVID-19 through a Facebook Live event that gathered more than 1000 views!
